01 Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Mechanic Guy mobile application ("the App"), you agree to these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. These Terms apply to all users of the App, including browsers and account holders.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

02 Description of Service

Mechanic Guy is an AI-powered automotive assistant app that provides:

• Vehicle garage management and maintenance tracking
• AI-assisted diagnostic guidance via the "Guy" chat interface
• Used car research tools including common issue lookups and vehicle history reports
• Price negotiation assistance based on vehicle condition data
• General automotive informational content

The App is available on iOS devices. Features may vary based on subscription tier.

03 Account Registration

You must create an account to access most App features. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, complete, and current account information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Promptly notify us of any unauthorized account access
• Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App. Users under 18 must have parental consent.

04 Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the App to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent vehicle information
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or exploit the App or its AI systems
• Interfere with the App's operation or other users' access
• Use the App for any commercial purpose without our written consent

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines without notice.

05 AI Disclaimer

Always consult a qualified, licensed mechanic before performing or authorizing any vehicle repairs — especially those affecting safety systems such as brakes, steering, or suspension. Mechanic Guy is not responsible for any damage, injury, or loss arising from reliance on AI-generated content.

AI responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, or not applicable to your specific vehicle situation. Use your judgment and consult professionals for critical repairs.

06 Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality in the App — including text, graphics, logos, icons, AI models, and software — are owned by Mechanic Guy and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. This license does not include the right to reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any App content.

Any feedback or suggestions you provide may be used by us without any obligation to compensate you.

07 Subscriptions & Payments

Some features of Mechanic Guy require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's payment terms.

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
• Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID account settings
• Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy
• We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with advance notice

08 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mechanic Guy and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Vehicle damage resulting from following AI diagnostic suggestions
• Financial losses from used car purchase decisions
• Data loss or App downtime
• Reliance on inaccurate vehicle history or report data

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

09 Termination

You may terminate your account at any time through the App settings. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at our discretion if you breach these Terms, with or without prior notice.

Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

10 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Utah County, Utah.
